Facebook integration with EasyCars for Dealers

As a dealership, you will need to subscribe to the Facebook service, this can be activated by the Jeal Team before any of these options below become available.

  1. Go into Account > Yards EasyCars Facebook Motor Dealer Setup
  2. Select your Yard
  3. Click the ‘Select’ button to select log into your Facebook page. If you aren’t already logged into Facebook you will be required to login. EasyCars Facebook Motor Dealer Setup - select Facebook ID

  6. When you click the drop-down menu you will see the available Facebook pages to link to EasyCars, then click ‘Save’. EasyCars Facebook Motor Dealer Setup -  Available Facebook Pages
  7. You will receive confirmation that the Facebook page is saved. You now need to approve this connection EasyCars Facebook Motor Dealer Setup - Facebook page saved
  8. Facebook should open and you will be asked to ‘Respond to a Request’ EasyCars Facebook Motor Dealer Setup - Respond to request

  1. If you have multiple yards and they share the SAME Facebook page you will need to complete the same process above for those other yards.
  2. If you have multiple yards and they have separate Facebook Pages you will need to complete the same process above but ensure you select the correct Facebook page per yard.
  3. You cannot upload link EasyCars to multiple Facebook pages for the same yard.

Once EasyCars is linked to your business Facebook Page, you will need to give permission to your users in EasyCars to view Facebook Messages.

By default users which are an Administrator & Sales Manager will be able to receive messages in the chat window.

To configure:

  1. Go into Account > Users > Select the users you want to give access to EasyCars Facebook Motor Dealer Setup - Facebook User Access
  2. If the user you are modifying is anything other than Administrator or Sales Manager and you want them to have access to the messenger function, you will need to tick the ‘Social Media Manager’ role EasyCars Facebook Motor Dealer Setup - Facebook User Access Social Media Access

If you don’t want any users to have access to view Facebook Messages via EasyCars, you can disable this entirely.

  1. Go into Settings > Advertising Facebook messages within EasyCars
  2. Select Configure Facebook messages within EasyCars
  3. Untick ‘Messenger Enabled’ This will disable ALL users from being able to see Facebook messages within EasyCars.

Facebook needs to know your exact location to be able to publish your ads successfully. A requirement for you to upload to the Marketplace is to store the Latitude and Longitude.

  1. Go into Account > Yards Configuring Latitude and Longitude in yard
  2. Select your yard
  3. Where the address is there are 2 fields for Latitude/Longitude, If these are red you will need to select the correct address. If they are already filled in, you can skip this setup. If your address is there but there is no Latitude/Longitude, first try removing your address and retype it. Configuring Latitude and Longitude in yard
  4. If you cannot find your address on Google, you will need to click on the ‘My address isn’t on Google’ button so you can manually search for your address.
  5. Once a valid address is filled in your screen will look like this Configuring Latitude and Longitude in yard

In addition to your normal vehicle description you can add an extra description to each of your vehicles. This is normally a generic sentence or paragraph about your company.

  1. Go into Settings > Advertising Custom Extra Description for Marketplace
  2. Select Configure Custom Extra Description for Marketplace
  3. In the ‘Advertiser Description’ enter in the additional description you’d like to add to the bottom of every advertisement. Custom Extra Description for Marketplace
  4. Click ‘Save Details’

NOTE: There is a criteria that needs to be met for a vehicle to be advertised. If this isn’t met the vehicle will not be uploaded to Facebook Marketplace.

  • Minimum of 2 photos per car
  • The vehicle must have an Odometer, Price, Colour, Body, Fuel Type
  • Vehicle Description
  • Yard Address Latitude/Longitude
  1. Go into Integration > Facebook Marketplace Purifying Vehicles to be sent to Facebook Marketplace
  2. Within this new Facebook Integration screen, you can modify a number of fields using the ‘Edit’ button on the right hand side Purifying Vehicles to be sent to Facebook Marketplace
  3. Any fields containing red, will require you to fix the vehicle before it can be loaded onto the Marketplace.

    In the below example you can see that the Colour, Description and minimum number of photos are missing. These need to be filled in before the vehicle will be published. Click the Pencil button and then save after the changes have been made.

    Purifying Vehicles to be sent to Facebook Marketplace

As with any advertising within EasyCars you can choose which vehicles are uploaded to the Facebook Marketplace. The process is different to advertising to other advertisers via EasyCars. You don’t need to ‘Upload’ stock to Facebook as you do with other advertisers. EasyCars will upload on your behalf. You do need to configure which vehicles need to be uploaded and to ensure vehicles are validated correctly prior to uploading.

  1. Go into Integration > Facebook Marketplace Selecting and Deselecting vehicles to be uploaded to Facebook
  2. Using the tick boxes along the right-hand side you can tick or untick tick in the header called ‘Advertise’.
  3. To unselected individual vehicles, you can go edit the stock record and untick the advertise box. Selecting and Deselecting vehicles to be uploaded to Facebook
  4. The tick box for advertising a vehicle to Facebook Market place is also available from within the vehicle.
    1. Go into a vehicle from ‘Stock Management’
    2. Click on ‘Advertising’
    3. Tick or untick ‘Send to Facebook Marketplace

When an enquiry is made on a vehicle on Facebook Marketplace, anyone who has permission to receive messages in EasyCars will receive a notification in EasyCars.

IMPORTANT: messages that come through the chat window will be available for 24 hours. If a message isn’t replied to within 24 hours, messages cannot be replied to via EasyCars, they will need to reply via Messenger in Facebook.

  1. A notification will appear in the top right-hand corner of EasyCars. Viewing messages in EasyCars via Messenger

  3. When you click on this notification a chat window will appear in the bottom right hand corner of EasyCars. Viewing messages in EasyCars via Messenger
  4. Whoever has access to view messages in EasyCars will receive the same popup. You will need to view if anyone else has responded to the message. You will see a ‘Seen’ message if someone else has seen the message

You can create a contact via the chat window. EasyCars will check to see if there is already a contact in EasyCars with the same name. This makes it easier for future ability to create a lead from the Facebook enquiry.
